1. Reminder – OSU Spring Graduation will be held on Sunday, June 13
A record 8,652 students will earn degrees during Ohio State's spring commencement on Sunday (6/13) in Ohio Stadium. About 6,300 students are expected to participate in the ceremony, which begins at noon. There is expected to be a high volume of vehicular and pedestrian traffic on campus and especially around the RPAC on Sunday. Please plan your recreation and work out times accordingly.
2. RPAC Summer Quarter Locker Lottery
A locker lottery system is currently in place for those wishing to reserve a locker in the RPAC's men's or women's locker rooms. Current locker holders do not need to participate in the locker lottery unless they wish to upgrade or downgrade their locker size. Any active member may submit their name during the times listed below by visiting the Sport Shop section of the web site. At Noon on June 21 click the following link to reach the Sport Shop section of the web site. Each member chosen for a locker will have one week to claim and pay for their locker at the RPAC Sport Shop. After this time, all remaining lockers will be available for rent on a first come first served basis. Current locker holders are not impacted by this change.

3. New Equipment at all facilities
In addition to the new equipment at the RPAC, the satellite facilities are in the process of adding a number of new cardio, selectorized and free weight equipment. This equipment will be periodically arriving over the course of this month. Recent additions include new adjustable benches and selectorized equipment at Jesse Owens South and North and the addition of two new Cybex ARC trainers at the ARC.
Additionally, a TV/DVD combo unit has been added to the stretching area between the turf fields at the ARC. This TV is being provided so members can utilize workout videos at their leisure. Plans are being made to checkout workout DVD's at the front desk also but those will not be available until later in the summer. Please contact Jimmy Francis at Francis.143@osu.edu for more details.
4. Special Olympics Volunteer Opportunity
The Ohio Special Olympic Summer Games will be held on Ohio State's campus the weekend of June 25, 26, and 27. The meals for the athletes and coaches will be held in the Tom W. Davis Special Events Gymnasium in the RPAC again this year. We would love to have you as a volunteer. If you are interested in volunteering some of your time that weekend, please e-mail Andrea Hall (hall.794@osu.edu) and more specific information will follow. Recreational Sports is excited to host these meals during this special event weekend. Thank you in advance for your participation!
5. Construction Update
The second phase of the State Route 315 construction project is scheduled to begin the day after Spring Commencement, June 14, and run through early September. During this time, traffic will be shifted to the northbound lanes so that construction crews can work on the eight bridges and three miles of highway in the southbound lanes between I-670 and Ackerman Road. Several 315 entrance and exit ramps will be closed throughout the construction, including those at Lane Avenue. For more information, please visit: http://www.recsports.osu.edu/articles/construction-on-route-315/
Additionally, Fifth Avenue will be closed beginning at 8 p.m. Friday (6/11) and last until 5 a.m. Monday (6/14) in both directions at Olentangy River Road and beneath the 315 bridge to allow for bridge painting, weather permitting.
6. Pelotonia 10 Cycling Fair Scheduled for June 19
All Ohio State employees, students, family and friends are invited to the first-ever Pelotonia Cycling Fair from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday (6/19) at the Fawcett Center. Two group rides — 25 miles and 15 miles — will roll out from the fair, which will feature free bike checkups, health screenings, valuable biking and nutrition information and opportunities to sign up to ride in Pelotonia. You can also enter to win a new iPad and other great prizes when you attend the fair. Register and find more information at http://www.ced.osu.edu/PelotoniaCyclingFair.
