Sorry for the late notice about this - we are having a garden meeting tomorrow night at 7:30pm at Creative Living, 1531 Perry St. If you can't make this meeting, do not fear, we are planning to hold bi-weekly garden meetings during the winter and early spring to make sure we are really focused and ready for the coming garden season.
The meeting schedule is the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of January, February, March and April. The January meetings will be held from 7:30-8:30pm, and the February-April meetings will be held from 6:30-7:30pm. All meetings will be held in the Creative Living lobby at 1531 Perry St.
Tomorrow, we will discuss "class" options, and set the topics for each of the upcoming meetings. Some topics for these meetings include:
- development of a NECKO Garden blog
- creation of hard and fast garden rules and mission
- researching and writing grant requests
- marketing plans
- seed starting plans
- garden work day plans
- garden design plans - what we are planting and where
We don't expect everyone to attend every meeting, but the more the merrier! We will be able to accomplish a lot if we can work together to create a reliable network of gardeners and garden helpers.
Notes from each meeting will be emailed to this group. If you wish to be removed from the group, please do not hesitate to let me know - no hard feelings of course!
