| E-News Special Report On Tuesday, March 13, Columbus City Schools Superintendent/CEO Gene T. Harris, Ph.D., and the Columbus Board of Education celebrated 58 students, staff and community members at the Superintendent's Honors and Recognition Program. The celebration acknowledges exceptional student achievement, employee accomplishments and the contribution of community members, business partners and volunteers. The students and staff represented 29 different schools and three administrative departments. Among the community members recognized was Andrews Air Force Base Air Traffic Control Manager, and Columbus City Schools graduate, Colonel Norma Fry.
