Free Group Fitness Classes During Finals Week

Group fitness classes are FREE during finals week, March 12 – 16. View the schedule.

 

Papa John’s Spot Shot Competition March 5
Score as many points you can in one minute to win prizes! Enter the Papa John’s Spot Shot Competition Monday, March 7, from 7 – 10 p.m. at the RPAC Tom W. Davis Gymnasium. Free $10 gift cards to SBX for the first 10 participants who register! All participants receive a free breadsticks coupon from Papa John’s just for entering! The top 20 will return on Tuesday, March 6, to compete for the Grand Prize at 7 p.m. The grand prize receives at $150 Papa John’s gift card.

Olympic gold medalists Michael Phelps and Natalie Coughlin headline the list of those competing at the Columbus Grand Prix March 9 – 11 at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. Purchase your tickets now to see this exciting event! Read about the event.

Tuttle Park Place Closures Between Neil and Woody Hayes/Woodruff

Tuttle Park Place is scheduled to be closed to thru-traffic between Neil Avenue and the northern half of the Woody Hayes intersection through April. Detour signs will be posted, and access to The Blackwell will be maintained from the north.

Depending on increased traffic congestion, vehicles traveling west on Woody Hayes may be restricted against turning south onto Cannon Drive during peak hours. Learn more.

Send Your Little Bucks to Buckeyes in Training

Let your child's imagination soar at Buckeyes in Training this summer! From crafts to gymnastics, from science to story time, children ages 3 - 5 can play and explore at Rec Sports. Read more.


Scuba Diving Training/Certification Course
Learn to become a certified diver! The course fulfills the requirements for classroom and pool/confined water training. After successful completion of the scuba course, participants can complete the certification process with open water training dives. Classes meet on Mondays from 6 - 10 p.m., from April 2 - May 14. The fee is $150 for members and $200 for non-members. 
Registration starts March 5.

Jesse Owens West Quarterly Reservation Draw

Reserve a tennis court for spring quarter by attending the quarterly reservation draw on Wednesday, March 7, at 6 p.m. A quarterly reservation contract (one per group) must be submitted by Sunday, March 4, at midnight. Download the contract and read more.

 

Lifeguard Training Certification
Rec Sports is offering an American Red Cross Training/Certification Course this spring. Classes meet on Sundays from 5 - 10 p.m., from April 1 - May 20. The fee for members is $150 and $200 for non-members. Registration begins Monday, March 5.

 

Registration for Spring Instructional Programs
Register online for spring instructional programs starting March 4 or in-person on March 5 for members or March 7 for non-members! The registration deadline for all programs is Wednesday, March 28, at 5 p.m. Programs begin the week of April 1.

 

Spring programming includes:

Learn-to-Swim (LTS): American Red Cross swimming program – group and private lessons available for infants through adults

Let's Play Sports (LPS): Instructional sport classes for children ages 1 – 12. Unique spring classes include racquetball, running, tennis, parent/child swim & gym, baseball, t-ball, softball, outdoor soccer, and more.

Adapted Recreational Sports (ARS): Children’s adapted aquatics, adapted gymnastics, evolutional swimming, inclusive kickball, and aquakids

Active Adults: Ballroom dancing, tennis, golf and weight training for adults 18 and older 

 

Spring Break Camp Registration Open

Whether your child’s spring break falls during the week of March 19 or April 9, we have a spring break camp for you that provides fun and games! Registration is now open. Sign up soon for best availability!

 

Camp Recky Parent Info Night Sunday, March 4
If you need more information about Camp Recky or have questions, join us Sunday, March 4, from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. in RPAC meeting rooms 1 - 3. This program is great for first time parents and  returning parents, as we will discuss the changes for 2012. Other topics include registration information, and how to register online. Meet some of camp’s leadership staff as well!
