Camp Recky Registration Opens Monday, March 7
Camp Recky Summer Camp registration, for children ages five and older, opens on Monday, March 7. Register online at http://recsports.osu.edu/community-programs/register-for-community-programs, mail, or fax forms to (614) 292-0540. A Camp Recky informational meeting will be held on Sunday, March 6, from 5 – 7 p.m. in the RPAC Meeting Rooms. Parking is available in the Neil Avenue or Tuttle Parking Garages. Questions? Drop your three and four year olds off for the Magic School Bucks ride of their lives! Small Group Personal Training Classes for Spring
It's time to get in shape for summer! Spring small group personal training classes are now open for registration. Sign up for $50 for the entire spring quarter for the Free Motion 30-minute circuit or the women's only resistance training class. Each class is held twice per week. Blaze the Trail 5K and Family Fun Run 2K
Blaze the Trail on Sunday, April 10, and support The Ohio State University's Burn Center, which provides education about fire safety, prevention, and arson awareness on campus and assists with care and recovery for victims of fire. This 5K race and Family Fun Run starts at The Ohio State University's Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC) at 9 a.m. Registration fees are: $10 for Ohio State students; $20 for adults; $5 for children until April 3; rates increase after this date. Banff Mountain Film Festival
Each year, the Banff Mountain Film Festival presents the most creative and inspiring examples of outdoor adventure filmmaking from around the world. This year, the festival, co-sponsored by the Department of Recreational Sports Outdoor Adventure Center, will be no different! Make sure to visit the festival on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at 7 p.m. at the Wexner Center for the Arts. AEP Transmission Line Project to Impact Kenny Road, Lane Avenue Traffic
The AEP transmission line project, from the Scioto River to campus, will impact traffic on Kenny Road and Lane Avenue through April. The project is part of a 5.5-mile effort to increase electric capacity from AEP's existing Roberts Road substation to the campus substation. During the weeks of March 7-21, southbound traffic on Kenny Road (between Lane Avenue and Carmack) will be reduced to one lane; weeks of March 21-April 4 (estimated), traffic along Lane Avenue (between Kenny and Carmack) will be reduced to one lane eastbound and westbound, diverted to the north side of Lane.
Reserve Your Tennis Time for Spring Quarter
Jesse Owens West Tennis Center is the only place on campus to play indoor tennis. The facility has four tennis courts available for use. Reserve a court by attending the quarterly reservation draw on Wednesday, March 9 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. A quarterly reservation contract (one per group) must be submitted by March 9 by noon.
