WHAT:
Councilmember Michelle M. Mills, chair of the Public Safety and Judiciary Committee, will join Franklin County Municipal Court Judge Scott VanDerKarr to discuss the accomplishments of newest specialty docket for the Municipal Court that deals with veterans. Franklin County currently has specialty dockets that focus on alcohol and drug addiction, prostitution, and defendants with mental health concerns. The courts are a cost effective way to monitor the rehabilitation of offenders and reduce recidivism rates in Columbus.
