Autumn Hours In Effect August August 19

The hours of Rec Sports's facilities will change on Sunday, August 19. Check each facility's webpage for the new hours.

Free Small Group Personal Training Classes

Find a new way to workout for autumn semester with kettlebell resistance training classes and TRX® Suspension Training® workouts.

 

Beginner and advanced level classes will be offered beginning August 27. Class size is limited to 12 members. 

 

Five 30-minute TRX® Suspension Training® workouts will be offered beginning Monday, September 10. Learn how work against your own body weight to improve balance, endurance, strength, and core stability using this suspension system originally created by a U.S. Navy Seal! Limited to 10 people per class.

 

To register for either of these classes, visit the RPAC Welcome Center or call 292-7671, then dial 0.

Community Programs Involvement Fair August 22 

Learn how you and your family can stay active during the upcoming school year during the Community Programs Involvement Fair Wednesday August 22, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. in RPAC Upper Court #4. Child are welcome to attend and will be engaged with games.

Get Fit with Group Fitness this Fall

With your Rec Sports membership, you get 30 free group fitness classes per semester! Find a new way to get fit with classes such as ZUMBA®, Circuit Cycle, Pilates, and more. View the autumn schedule.

 

Student Move-in Traffic on August 19

Student move-in to residence halls will impact campus traffic patterns and parking Sunday, August 19.   

 

On August 19, more than 6,000 students are expected on campus, and central campus will be closed to all non-move-in traffic from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.. Several parking garages and surface lots are used to facilitate parking for these two events. It is also recommended to avoid campus on August 19, if possible.

 

Learn How to Use TRX®

Want to use the new TRX® system outside of a class setting? Personal trainers are available to answer questions and show you a new exercise at the following times beginning the week of September 10:

 

  • Mondays, 6-8 p.m.
  • Tuesdays, 3:15 - 5:15 p.m.
  • Wednesdays, 6:45 - 8:45 p.m.
  • Thursdays, 3:15 - 5:15 p.m. 
  • Fridays, 7:45 - 9:45 a.m. 


The TRX® is located on the RPAC track level (third floor).
